Paper feels like people—
folded by time, softened by experience,
constantly stretching and reshaping between the folds of culture and memory.
Just like identity—never fixed, always becoming.
Threaded Identities presents six looks,
six wearable “books.”
In each piece, I merge papermaking heritage and bookbinding language
into the structure and textures of clothing—
allowing every fold, seam, and unfolding
to become an act of rewriting the self.
This series is for anyone still growing, shifting,
and learning to stay soft in a world that keeps changing—
for those who choose sincerity even as life reshapes them.
The resilience of paper is our resilience.
It holds the quiet restraint of Chinese aesthetics,
and the quiet force of something breaking through the soil,
reaching for light.
